I don't pretend to debate about the economy or know enough to make educated guessed about that state of recession, but I do know that there are a million ways to look at every situation! In this case, one was optimism.

There's positives and negatives to everything!

There are definitely a lot of positives to the recession and I'm glad you wrote this post... people do need to see the upside and be optimistic if they don't want the recession to affect them negatively.

The recession isn't over yet though in my opinion... I think that it's going to be a few years before it's over for sure.

Carla, good point. I tend to think that the media actively portrayed the rescession as scary. Luckily though, entrepreneurs (and smart companies) realized that despite all this, there were still pockets of success to be had.

In the blogging and eCommerce community, I do like how optimistic entrepreneurs were/are. We were so inundated with the constant doom and gloom coming from the media, it was a breath of fresh air to hear how well other were doing considering all things.

How come I didn't think of that? Of course, survival of the fittest is a perfect explanation for the positives of the recession. Right on evolutionofwealth!

What's your take on the 'survival of the fittest' approach? Like the recession is good because it gets rid of the bad businesses/business people and only the strong survive. I guess that would be except for government bailout, but I think you know what I mean. I love the concept. It would be great if more people could look at the positives of it.
